David Sherwood Kelso's interest with photography began when he was a game warden for the state of Maine
 and part of his duties included photographing evidence. 
 As a Maine Guide, his interest in photography continued as both a hobby and his livelihood, taking pictures of moose,
deer, fish and the rugged landscape of coastal and northern Maine.

Recently his interests in photography have expanded into the technical realm of digital imaging and enhancement and live models. 
 Working with film and digital images, D. Sherwood Kelso puts his work through a series of photographic enhancement programs.
 The results of this pain-staking process produces photographs that are intended to expose the hidden psyche of human nature. 

At the urging of area gallery owners, D. Sherwood Kelso recently decided to make his work public and has begun to submit his work to galleries. 
 D. Sherwood Kelso makes his home in Down east Maine during the summer and spends his winters in New Hampshire.

His work has appeared in galleries in New England and will be appearing in Canada and Europe in 2005.
